Now you have started your blog and are excited about the topics you are going to discuss. You want to increase the number of visitors and responses to your blog.
Here are a few tips that will help to increase your readership:
- Content and postings – make regular postings – at least once per week.
- Review your stats – the blog software includes a basic statistics on visitors to your blog. However there is not a great level of detail. I would recommend also adding some other statistics counter. I use www.statcounter.com — you can get more details on where the visitors come from, what their path is, if they are first time or repeat visitors. Your stats over time will show you which topics generated the most interest and continue to bring you visitors. Experiment with different titles and topics until you see a pattern of interest.
- Add “tags” and “categories” to your postings. The tags are the most effective indexing words – and you should use tags that are words in your postings – as well as additional tags that you think people will be posting on.
- Add a link to your blog in your email signature, your facebook page, your linked in profile, your website, your twitter profile, your email newsletter, your online articles, and any other online profiles that you may have.
- Spend some time seeing how you can post in one place and have it appear via RSS feeds and widgets on the different locations. This way you will end up doing less work – always a good thing 🙂
- Read and comment on OTHER blogs and social networks. – and be sure that you are showing your blog in your signature. Your participation brings people from their blog over to your blog for more information
These are just some of the ways that you can increase your blog readership. Send me your favorite methods for increasing your blog traffic and we will all grow. Fill in the comment form to reply.
You can try article marketing and forum marketing 🙂
Yes – these are 2 very good suggestions. I like ezinearticles.com — do you have other suggestions?
Thanks
Denise
Great suggestions.
As a new blogger and budding photographer, I will definitely try a few of them and let you know how it works out.
Thanks.

Link trading with other blogs…
Also- – adding Sharethis options on each blog post are a great way to virally spread your posts via social media and bookmarking sites!
thanks man, these are some great guidelines.
thanks for the guidelines.you can find my own mobilethemes in http://mobilethemesworld.blogspot.com.
once again i yhank you for this post
I would like to add few more tips
1) add your blog in Search Engines Like Google. When People will search on Google your page will appear as search result.
2) give valuable comments on most popular blogs (like I am posting my comments here). Readers of that blog would love to know about you and your blog and that will ultimately increase traffic on your blog.
I am searching more and more on this topic and preparing a presentation on it. Will share it soon on my own blog.
Thanks for the tips!
Thanks for great guidelines and tips…
This is great advice. I have also tried other methods like answering questions on yahoo answers to help people while building links.
Thank you for this posting. I have done well in the past with my blog traffic, but as of late, the numbers have been down. I will definitely attempt to utilize some of these techniques you have suggested. Thanks again!
God Bless,

Good advice. Let’s hope my traffic will increase 10 fold!!!
Really good advice. But you have to be so determined to make it a success.
Great points. Thanks for the posts.
I have made some decent money using my main blog with Google AdSense. But here is a great method I have been using to make money online.
I purchased a digital product from the ClickBank marketplace and reviewed the product. Once I did this, I followed what I read to see if I would get the same results the writer did.
I did a short video teaching others what I learned and then made a recommendation to purchase the product at the end of the video. Of course, I only created a video for the products that actually worked for me. Since these products did work for me, by watching and following the video, you will also benefit by seeing a dramatic increase in conversions.
Then I recommended this product through my own affiliate link. This way I could earn commissions on what others sold. The best way I found to do this was to purchase a meaningful and memorable domain name and redirect the domain to my affiliate link. Then overlay that link in the video.
I usually post my videos on my blogs and send it to my mailing lists to make money. But if you don’t have a list, then upload it to YouTube and several other video sharing sites to make you commissions.
It’s a great technique that’s worked for me.
Cheers,

thanx thats are amzing advices
Thanx, great!
These are all great ideas but putting a link in your email signature is one awesome idea I hadn’t thought about. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for your comment. It is interesting how a simple thing that you can setup in a few minutes and then forget about it can over time give you exposure to new contacts, current contacts and people you send email to. Since people also FORWARD your email – there is also a potential contact with their friends. Best of success.
